New Town

Nowe Miasto is located on the picturesque right bank of the Warta River, stretching from Koziegłowy in the north, through Śródka and Malta, to Daszewice in the south. The transportation attractiveness of the location is expressed in strategic access to key arteries – Bałtycka Street (national road No. 92), Main Street, Hlonda Street (the 2nd transportation framework) and the A2 highway in the Krzesiny area. An extensive public transportation network with numerous streetcar and bus lines, systematically enriched with new connections, ensures mobility at the highest level.

The quintessential prestige of the New Town is its unique natural surroundings. Lake Malta offers an exclusive recreational space with a private beach, professional sports trails, as well as the Malta Ski Complex and the New Zoo. What’s more, Malta’s wedge of greenery, including municipal forests and Millennium Park, combined with Debinski Forest, creates a unique ecosystem in the heart of the metropolis.

Modern development projects, such as the Unii Lubelskiej Vita estate in Starołęka, offer apartments designed with the most demanding customers in mind. The district also combines a prestigious character with a solid economic base. The Volkswagen plant in Antoninek and the Poznań Karolin CHP plant are important points on the city’s business map, while numerous public institutions, such as the Poznań Nowe Miasto Tax Office and the District Court, raise the district’s profile.
